Sizing Guide
Ensuring the perfect fit is crucial for both the look and performance of your firearm. Use this guide to determine the correct grip size for your model before ordering.
1911 Models: Government vs. Officer
The most common confusion occurs with 1911 models. Here is how to tell them apart:
1. Government / Commander (Full Size)
- This is the standard size for most 1911 pistols.
- Distance between screw holes: Approximately 3 1/16 inches (78mm) center-to-center.
- Fits: Colt Government, Colt Commander, Kimber Custom, Springfield Armory Range Officer, and other standard full-size clones.
2. Officer / Defender (Compact)
- These possess a shorter frame for concealed carry.
- Distance between screw holes: Approximately 2 11/16 inches (68mm) center-to-center.
- Fits: Colt Officer's Model, Colt Defender, Kimber Ultra Carry, and other compact 1911 variants.
